Christmas Walkathon

Christmas Walkathon

christmas walkathon

The Meritton Parent-Teacher Organisation (PTO), together with our Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) students, were delighted to organise the Christmas Walkathon on Monday 8 December. This festive community event brought students, staff, and families together to celebrate the season in a fun and active way.

Fifty percent of all funds raised were donated to the Support Foundation in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the late Queen Mother, with the remaining fifty percent supporting future PTO initiatives. Students arrived in their best seasonal costumes and enjoyed walking laps alongside their friends throughout the day.

Prizes were awarded to the student in each year level who completed the most laps, as well as to those with the most creative and festive costumes, making the event both meaningful and memorable for everyone involved.

Thank You for The Success of The Walkathon Event

Thank you to the DoE students, PTO members, parent volunteers, and students for making our first Christmas Walkathon a success on Monday 8th December.

It was wonderful to see so many happy and excited children enjoying the activities and walking with their friends to raise money for the Support Foundation in tribute to the late Queen Mother, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit.

Our students demonstrated the school’s values of confidence, kindness, respect, and a positive attitude throughout the event.

Winners were announced at the Meritton Winterland event!

Kind regards,
Katrina Durkin
PTO Chairperson
